All shiny and new

WEEEEE!!  Here it is!  I have finally stopped reading my own google reader long enough found the time to start my own blog!  Check out my about page for the basics in my life and who my main characters are!  It’s the beginning of spring so I’ve got LOTS planned for us in the next few weeks: crafting, baking, hopefully finishing the sewing on Cake’s dress for Easter.  C’mon, join it.  It’ll be fun!  Oh in case you’re wondering about the name of my blog…or not, whatever I’m going to tell you anyway…I’ve been going through all sorts of names for the last few days.  I, of course started with Glitzy Gerbera but that was something my bff Rob and I came up with together for a different and stalled business so I moved on.  I played around with my adopted Irishness but nothing sounded right, and then some sort of mama thing but that is pretty common now too.  It just so happened that on our last vacation to smuggs we bought Cake a adorable pink tutu which she wore for the first time the other day.  She wanted to go play outside but since it’s March in Ottawa our backyard is one GIANT puddle so insisted she wear her boots.  She lovingly and tenderly decided on the new rainboots that her Nana recently sent to her.  She. LOVES. these. boots.  Hence tutus and rain boots!!  Thanks Cake and Nana for being my inspiration!!  Now normally I’d love to post a pic of Cake wearing her tutu BUT not long after venturing outside it got pretty dirty so her ensemble didn’t last too much longer!  So as a little teaser here’s Cake last fall stompin’ in some puddles!  Until next time!  HUGS!
